The location was ideal for shops and restaurants, and I found it a short walk to the racecourse. I also got great advice about a handy car park to use ! The owners were very friendly and helpful with directions, I really appreciated that.
The window in my room only opened a small way. It was airless when the weather was hot. Noise from a nearby pub was quite loud late at night, I had to keep the window closed until the early hours, unfortunately.

the hosts provided a kettle with tea and coffee. i found fresh milk and bottled water in the mini-fridge, it was very thoughtful. the location allowed easy access to nearby attractions and i appreciated the recommended parking. the provided wifi worked without issue.
my room, though charming, had slightly limited space for luggage storage.

the location is perfect for the town center and the historic wall. our room had two windows making it bright. there was also a desk and chair. the decor was fresh.
the room was cold even with the radiator turned up. one pillow had a stain. i found the bathroom quite small with a small wash basin.
